Entertaining visitors to Norland Scarecrow FestivalNorland gig was first of the seasonLooking smart; sounding goodJust looking good! Jack and Jude on tenor horns

The band turned out for its first gig of the new term on Sunday September 8th, entertaining visitors to the 14th Norland Scarecrow Festival. Despite a bad forecast, the sun came out, making it possible to play all three sessions outside rather than in the church hall, as was the case last year.
The gig was the first for band members since the summer break - and on return from the highly successful Paris Band Tour.  More details and pics to follow on this shortly!

The next get together is on Thursday, September 19th at 6.30 in the band room when there will be a chance to hear the "Paris Collection" and also to view the wonderful photos taken by Alvaro Gonzalez which will shortly be available to buy.

We have been asked to play for an hour or so in Calder Holmes Park 3-4 pm on Saturday September 21 and don't forget its our Annual General Meeting, again in the band room, on Thursday October 3rd, when we will be badgering parents to consider joining the committee and/or offer help at rehearsals and events.

The committee next meets on Monday October 7th at Sue Holmes' house.

And another date for the diary - Autumn Fair on Saturday October 19th. So please spread the word!
